The 3M™ Aqua-Pure™ Whole House Water Filtration System AP800 Series is designed to meet the water filtration needs of larger homes and light commercial buildings. It has 1” NPT inlet/outlet connections to allow for unrestricted flow to every water source throughout your home. The built-in pressure relief valve allows for convenient cartridge change-outs by depressurizing the housing and eliminating air from the housing when cartridge change-out is complete.

Installation

It is recommended that the 3M™ Aqua-Pure™Whole House Water Filtration System AP800 Series is installed at the point of entry by a qualified professional. The system comes complete with a filter head, housing, housing wrench, screws and an O-ring kit with lubricant. To install, you’ll need a pipe cutter, PTFE tape, adjustable wrench, NPT threaded fittings for water supply line connections, a ground kit, and an Aqua-Pure™ filter.

  • Installation steps 1-3

    1. Turn off the water

    2. Turn off the fuel or electrical power supply to the water heater.

    3. Depressurize the water supply lines.

  • Installation steps 4-6

    4. Remove housing.

    5. Screw the adapters into the filter head.

    6. Cut the cold-water pipe.

  • Installation steps 7-9

    7. Install the filter head.

    8. Mount the filter system.

    9. Install the filter cartridge.

  • Installation steps 10-12

    10. Turn on the water.

    11. Flush the system.

    12. Turn on the fuel or electrical power supply to the water heater.
